About Monaco Murmurs…
“Monaco Murmurs” was synonymous with Molly Brown. She murmured endlessly about her beloved Monaco to all who would listen. Her columns appeared in The Riviera Reporter magazine and were circulated in Monaco and along the Riviera six times a year for almost 30 years. Her enthusiasm was boundless, as was her love for her adopted home.
In the days when the internet was in its infancy and social media was non-existent, countless English-speaking ex-pats looked forward to her insights and often relied upon her reviews and calendars of what cultural, mundane or national events had taken or would be taking place. She saw life through rose-tinted lenses and always wanted her readers to enjoy with her every facet of life in the Principality. She was a much-loved member of the British and local community and a respected member of the Monaco press corps.
A tragic accident in 2016 precluded her from any further writing. Coincidentally, The Riviera Reporter had ceased to publish its printed edition only a few weeks earlier.
This site is dedicated to her and to Monaco. People may not always be with us, but if their memory is kept alive and their work is continued, their spirit and love will always live on.
