From mid-April to the end of May, 300 workers barricade the streets of Monte Carlo with 15,000m2 of wire fencing, 6500 used F1 tyres and 33km of heavy steel safety barriers, to close off the town centre for the 66th Monaco Grand Prix (May 22-25) when F1 cars scream round the 3.340km circuit 78 times, to the delight of the 200,000 fans who swarm into Monaco for the weekend. …
